The manor house of Vilar Seco dates back to the second half of the 18th century, and was in the same family lineage until recently. It was in the nineteenth century that the owners promoted significant restoration and expansion works. These interventions gave the manor a more palatial dimension.

The manor works as a Historic Housing Tourism unit, offering its visitors a unique experience of immersion in the history and culture of the Beira region. The two lounges with prominent fireplaces and the dining room with embossed stucco stand out, with ivory-white lacquered doors at each entrance, some with unique details. Each of the suites tells a different story, their names refer to the flowers and trees in the garden. The period furniture, the portraits of resident ancestors, the original wooden floor, the worked ceilings envelop us in an environment of unique identity. The different details and colors of each room give it a familiar feel, so that each of the guests feels truly at home.

The manor also has a vast outdoor leisure area, consisting of French gardens, two patios, a vegetable garden, an orchard and a willow forest. You can also observe the old dovecote or delight in some figs picked on the spot in a precious quiet. Hidden behind tall boxwoods, there is a refreshing salt pool, surrounded by a large space of grass, allowing the sun to spread all day.
