Casa das Falagueiras, situated in the famous village of Castro Laboreiro, is named after its location on a ´Branda´ that also has the same name. A `branda´ is often located at the highest places, where the shepherds used to take their cattle to graze during the summer, and remained there until the coldest days arrived.
